1. Our Commitment to Intellectual Property
ProvenQuote.com respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects users of our platform to do the same. In accordance with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act of 1998 (“DMCA”), we will respond promptly to claims of copyright infringement committed using our platform if such claims are reported to our designated copyright agent.
2. Reporting Copyright Infringement — DMCA Notice Requirements
If you believe that content on ProvenQuote infringes your copyright, please send a written notice to our designated DMCA agent containing all five of the following elements as required by 17 U.S.C. § 512(c)(3):
- Identification of the copyrighted work: A description of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed. If multiple works are covered by a single notification, provide a representative list of those works.
- Identification of the infringing material: A description of the material you claim is infringing and that you want removed, with enough detail for us to locate it (e.g., the specific URL(s) on ProvenQuote).
- Your contact information: Your full legal name, mailing address, telephone number, and email address.
- Good faith statement: A statement that you have a good faith belief that the disputed use of the material is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
- Accuracy statement and signature: A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or are authorized to act on the copyright owner's behalf. Include your physical or electronic signature.

Warning: Under Section 512(f) of the DMCA, any person who knowingly materially misrepresents that content is infringing may be liable for damages, including costs and attorneys' fees.
3. Our Response
Upon receipt of a valid DMCA notice, ProvenQuote will:
- Remove or disable access to the allegedly infringing content
- Notify the user who posted the content that it has been removed
- Provide the user with a copy of the DMCA notice (with your personal contact information redacted where possible)
4. Counter-Notice Process
If you believe that your content was removed by mistake or misidentification, you may submit a written counter-notice to our DMCA agent. Your counter-notice must include:
- Your physical or electronic signature.
- Identification of the material that was removed and the location where it appeared before removal (e.g., the URL).
- A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good faith belief that the material was removed or disabled as a result of mistake or misidentification.
- Your name, address, and telephone number.
- A statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the Federal District Court for the judicial district in which your address is located (or, if your address is outside the United States, any judicial district in which ProvenQuote may be found), and that you will accept service of process from the person who provided the original DMCA notice.
Upon receipt of a valid counter-notice, ProvenQuote will forward it to the original complainant and may restore the removed content within 10–14 business days unless the complainant files a court action to prevent restoration.
5. Repeat Infringer Policy
ProvenQuote maintains a policy of terminating, in appropriate circumstances, the accounts of users who are determined to be repeat infringers of intellectual property rights. We may also, at our sole discretion, limit or terminate access to our platform for any user who infringes the intellectual property rights of others, even if there is no repeated infringement.
